While many bloggers had made the push to get Mr. Met elected to the Mascot Hall Of Fame, he fell short to the San Antonio Spurs' Coyote in the fan voting.
However, according to mascothalloffame.com, it appears he still may have a chance because now it is time for the Executive Committee and Voting Membership to cast their votes.
I think with any more media coverage, Mr. Met would have been a lock. You know what though...any Hall Of Fame that chooses the Philly Phanatic as a first ballot inductee may not be worth fighting for anyways.
