The Associated Press is reporting that former Met and current Long Island Duck Jose Offerman was arrested last night after charging the mound and hitting the
pitcher and catcher with his bat during an independent minor league
game.
Offerman was hit by a pitch
from Bridgeport Blue Fish starter Matt Beech and charged the mound with
his bat. He then hit Beech in the hands and struck catcher John Nathans in the head.
Metstradamus beat me to the punch and found a pic of the "event".
Unbelievable. I think it's about time they should start testing those Ducks for steroids.

**METS FUN FACT** In 1966, the Mets chose not to select Reggie Jackson with the first overall pick. Instead, they took Steve Chilcott, a catcher who would never make it to the Major Leagues. Most Viewed Posts
