Rotowire says he could be in danger of losing his roster spot the next time the team needs to make a move.
Sele likes being on the Mets as shown in this article just a few days ago:
"I made a good decision, it's good here. The general manager
is straightforward. I have respect for Willie as a player, coach and
manager. He's had a track record of success in everything he's done - Rick Peterson, too. Players recognize that."
With Guillermo Mota back, I expect to see even less of Sele who hasn't exactly been the player the Mets were hoping for. They only seem to be using him in games where the score isn't very close. I'm sure there are things I don't know about this situation but he is certainly being used less often than he was earlier in the season.
