The guys at Sports Hernia point out the new segment Baseball Tonight is surely soon to abandon called Point-Coutnerpoint. The show was hard enough to watch already without having to watch TWO Phillips's.

Trachsel as quoted by Kubatko: "I won 15 games. Why doesn't that number count? It didn't count because
I had a high ERA. But what about the years I had a low ERA and didn't
win games? You can't have it both ways. You can't pick and choose which
numbers you want to look at." Trachsel is 5-4 with a 3.82 ERA in 13 starts this season. I kind of feel bad for the guy. He was a Met for a long time and although he seemed washed up, he was left out there to dry for a long time. Glad to see he's doing good in Baltimore. |

**METS FUN FACT** In 1966, the Mets chose not to select Reggie Jackson with the first overall pick. Instead, they took Steve Chilcott, a catcher who would never make it to the Major Leagues. Most Viewed Posts
