The guys at Wrigleyville 23 point out an article in the Daily Southtown regarding Cliff Floyd's mom being concerned that he could have troubles playing for his hometown Cubs.

Floyd on his mom Olivia's reaction to the signing:

"She flipped -- she's thinking that if things will go wrong, people will be looking at me and things will get crazy, but I told her not to worry about it, and she changed her tune a little bit."

Cliffy and his mom are very close, as this article earlier in the week illustrates.
