View Article  Wigginton Delivers Baby in Closet
In an article for the St. Petersburg Times, Marc Topkin gets the details on how former Mets 3rd baseman Ty Wigginton delivered his son, Cannon, yes that's right, Cannon in the closet of his master bedroom.

Wigginton as quoted by Topkin:

"About 6 o'clock [my wife's] in the closet trying to get dressed, and I'm getting our son ready to go out the door and she yells, 'We're having this baby now.' "

"I think she's kidding. Then I come around the corner and, sure enough. ... I called 911 and told them to get somebody over there. And like a minute later, I'm holding the baby in my arms."

Wiggy finally caught something! Just kidding, I really liked Ty when he was a Met, and felt bad when a youngster named Wright forced him out of town...not so much anymore though.

View Article  '69 Series Recap
On MLB.com, I came across this recap of the 1969 World Series that the Mets won to beat the Baltimore Orioles.

If you are a subscriber you can also listen to the radio broadcasts for each game.

I'd like to see more of these games on SNY's Mets Classics if they even exist.

View Article  Clemens' Chances to Return 20%
According to ESPN, Roger Clemens has given himself just a 20 percent chance of returning to the mound next season.

Clemens as quoted by ESPN said:

"The teams that are involved, I think they've got really good clubs that are together, and if somebody stubs their toe and my phone rings in May, I might have to think about it,"

Stop beating around the bush and just sign with someone already.

         **METS FUN FACT**

In 1966, the Mets chose not to select Reggie Jackson with the first overall pick. Instead, they took Steve Chilcott, a catcher who would never make it to the Major Leagues.
